Artistic Composition
In visual arts composition is the arrangement of visual elements within the work of art.
The rules of composition:
Rules of thirds: divide a canvas in thirds both horizontally and vertically, and place the focus of the painting either one third across or one third up or down the picture, or where the lines intersect.

Points of Power: where an object within the image intersects with two lines.
The Golden Rule: this golden ratio divides the image into sections that are roughly 1:1.618.

Vertical and Horizontal Lines: Horizontal lines are for rest and tranquility, where vertical lines imply power.

Curved Lines: curved lines are used to present a flow within the picture.

Oblique lines: Oblique lines are for movement and change.

The Terry Fox Run was fantastic. Everyone participated and was having a lot of fun. When people crossed the finish line they were meet with cheers and laughter. It was so exiting seeing so many people contribute to cancer research. ACSS raised a lot of money.

                                                       Terry Fox
Terry Fox was the amazing Canadian who ran across Canada, in order to raise money for cancer research.
Terry was diagnosed with osteogenic sarcoma (bone cancer) when he was 18 years old and had to have his right leg immediately amputated. During Terry's time in the hospital he was overwhelmed with the amount of cancer patients that were kids. He wanted to desperately help the children. Terry decided to run a marathon that he named the Marathon of Hope to raise money for cancer research.
Terry started run at St. John’s, Newfoundland on April 12, 1980. There was every few people who knew of Terry Fox when he started his marathon. Along the way donations began to pick up and the fan base grew. Unfortunately Terry was forced to stop outside of Thunder Bay.
He asked his friends to take him to the hospital. The cancer had spread to his
lungs. Terry passed away on June 28, 1981 at the age 22. Even though Terry has passed away his legacy he left behind lives on. To date Canada has raised over 650 billion dollars for cancer research.
